Of course, the bank building remains today, but the filling station and the trees in front of it are gone without a trace.
The quality of the top photograph does not permit us to make out much detail, but there is clearly writing in the windows, a gas pump with a glass globe at the top, and possibly several signs or banners out front. That leaves a lot of questions unanswered:
- Who was George?
- When was this photograph taken?
- What happened to this filling station?
- Where were Lushton’s other gas stations located?
- Does anyone remember going to this gas station?
